Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a specialized massage that uses strategic, light, rhythmic movements that guide lymphatic fluids to your lymph nodes to be filtered and removed from the body. Think of your lymphatic fluid as a garbage truck that goes around and collects all the garbage and brings it to the depot (your lymph nodes) to be sorted (filtered) so it can be disposed (removed). So, what happens when the garbage truck goes on strike or never comes? All that garbage (waste) won't be collected and starts to pile up, causing many problems.
